With 1 in 6 Australian workers experiencing mental ill-health in any year, some of your team members may be struggling with anxiety or depression right now, but we are here to provide support.

In partnership with the NSW Government, the Black Dog Institute are providing mental health training to eligible businesses across NSW at no cost.

Throughout Small Business Month, the Black Dog Institute will be offering dedicated training workshops for managers, sole traders, and team members from small businesses.

The Managing Team Wellbeing workshop is designed for people leaders to give them the knowledge and skills to:
• Understand the prevalence of mental ill-health and its impact
• Recognise changes in behaviour and identify the warning signs of mental ill-health
• Have effective conversations around stress, health, and wellbeing
• Design healthier workspaces that promote wellbeing
• Understand your role and legal responsibilities as an employer
• Support team members at work and assist in their return to work after a sickness absence

Training is delivered as an online interactive workshop through Zoom Meeting. The 3-hour workshop is delivered live by a clinical psychologist and incorporates various interactive tools for engagement including polls, breakout rooms, and whiteboard. You will be given the opportunity to ask specific questions throughout.
